BE A ROBIN ADVENT CALENDER, ZÜRICH
In the Advent season the Robins organized four afternoons with the welcome2school pupils in Zürich.
As part of our work with refugees, in December 2016 we carried out an Advents program that consisted of four different activities. Every week until Christmas we dived into the pre-Christmas period with the almost exclusively unaccompanied children and young people from welcome2school, to enable them to participate in the magic and fascination of the Advent period. For once they were able to leave their worries and problems behind and simply enjoy and have fun. The program included a visit to a football-game, candle-making, ice-skating, and to conclude a Fondue. We can confirm that it was a resounding success. The experience strengthened our resolve as a organisation, to continue committing ourselves with full engagement and passion to these people.
